About Lanz IP PLLC
Lanz IP PLLC is an intellectual property law firm, founded by Folashade Oladipo Bamikole, which is built on a simple idea that protecting your ideas shouldn't feel confusing or daunting. Clients work directly with experienced counsel from the very first conversation, not a rotating cast of associates in a large, impersonal law firm.
Folashade Oladipo Bamikole, Esq. is a Registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and a member of the District of Columbia Bar, bringing a rare combination of legal expertise and scientific fluency to every client matter. She holds a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, and a Master of Science in Biology with a concentration in genomics from Arizona State University, a multidisciplinary foundation that allows her to engage deeply with technically complex inventions, particularly in life sciences, biotechnology, and emerging technology. In addition to her IP practice, Shade is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and holds a Cybersecurity Certification from ISC², reflecting her broader expertise at the intersection of intellectual property, data privacy, and technology law. She has guided inventors, founders, and businesses of all sizes through the full spectrum of IP matters, from patent prosecution and trademark registration to licensing strategy and portfolio development, with a commitment to clear communication, honest counsel, and results that align with each client's long-term business goals.
Why Lanz IP
Innovation moves fast, and so do the risks to it. Whether you're a solo inventor with a single idea worth protecting, or a growing business building out an IP portfolio, Lanz IP offers the kind of attentive, senior-level counsel that's often reserved for much larger clients. We believe that good legal counsel should be clear, not complicated. Clients leave every conversation with a real understanding of their options, not just legal jargon.
